"Well, ONE of us is gonna have to change!!"
Saw this near my house and about died. X3 So I guess those aren't REALLY gates or lights?
So the REAL story is that this particular crossing, over Glen Rose Road near where Orange Avenue/SR527 and Sand Lake Road/SR482 intersect, did NOT have gates or lights, OR these signs, until recently. In November 2012, a dump truck was struck by Amtrak PO91 at this crossing, killing the driver. (Photo here http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9505635/ ) At this time, the signs were erected to warn drivers of the lack of crossing apparatus. Fast-forward to last December, when SunRail work added the gates and lights, but neglected to remove the signs, thereby creating this humorous paradox. :P

that's really strange DX
we have NO lights/gates here except one crossing. the train goes right in the middle of town, splitting it into four too. but i don't think anyone has been hit here D; fortunately.
the place where there are lights/gates is in a particularly important spot tho.

They installed crossing arms at a local crossing (live across the road from relatively active NS line north of B'ham AL) recently and I think it took locals several days to even realize they were there despite, well, them quite obviously being there. XD
I may or may not have been one of them as I am not very observant to a horrible fault ._.
