So after the flood, we walked the property to check out the condition of everything. I found a ten dollar bill embedded in the silt. This was back in October when the sting from loss of the house we wanted was still fresh, so it brightened the trip in a small way.
Last week we closed on the land. We were stuck in real estate limbo since August. It's wonderful to have all that stress lifted!

Super.. now find about fifteen thousand more and you can afford to get the roads redone <wince & grin>.
Seriously, great to see at least a 'little' bit of sunshine in all the mess.. we're looking forward to getting to see the finished work once you two get it and start rebuilding. One day we WILL get to visit Colorado, just when and for how long is up in the air. Hope to see you at TFF!!!

Awesome you found some of that proverbial "silver" in the cloud lining.
But, it's dangerous out there. You sure you want to own land that could potentially wash away further?
