Here's a quick'n'simple little chiptune as I try to get reacquainted with Protracker on the Amiga.

Not sure if you mean the Amiga in general, or the particular one I'm using, so I'll answer both.
I think the Amiga was way ahead of its time back when it was first released, and the demos from around 1993-1995 are still rather impressive for the machine. The AGA machines are less impressive considering their release date, but originally they were going to have much better specs.
My Amiga 1200 works great, although I don't have a fully working mouse, so I have to alternate between a mouse that doesn't move too well and has a half-working right button, and a PS2 mouse (using an adapter) that moves perfectly but the right button doesn't work at all (thanks to a compatibility problem between the adapter and my Amiga). My favourite Amiga mouse doesn't seem to move the cursor at all anymore, but the buttons are in perfect condition, so I'm hoping my friend can possibly put together one fully working mouse out of all these half-functional ones. The turbo card with extra RAM realyl helps, too, I can now launch anything from Workbench and it just works.
I'm still trying to find a good version of Protracker to use - I made this in PT2.3d, but the help system and transposition functionality is broken, and older versions display garbage on the A1200.

I meant the second answer. Your friends hould hawe no problems making a working mouse out the ones you got. The mircroswitches in them are fairly easy to swap, and can also be bought new.
I need to get one of these machines someday... closest I have is the CD32 but its kinda crippled compared to a A1200.
