Thazzar seems like a real person; the embarassment and shyness is very powerful in his character. Its easy to lose myself in him and I dote on what might happen next.
You could really use to beef up your descriptions. The smells and tastes in this story are really powerful and I love the way you put them together. It would be really swell to see thazzar describe everything in his lofe as if it was a cup of coffee.
