r_jinx1 won a charity auction hosted by 
vindictiivespet for a very noteworthy cause, I offered to do an extra image. To help pay for the funeral of a young girl that lost her life over the holidays.It is still winter, so I decided to do a winter-esque look.
This image was inspired by the belief that when people die they become stars.
Nell and Vin were out in a snowy forest, when they saw the stars fall. Nell was in awe of the heavenly show, but a sharp intake of breath to her left instantly stole her focus.
Vin, looking up at the sky cried in sorrow, "The stars will -die- if they touch the ground."
Nell noticed her friends distress and without further hesitation, grabbed her friends hand and bolted through the trees like a hawk after a sparrow.
"Nell..?" exclaimed Vin whom barely kept up pace with the determined girl.
"We are going to save them! Nell exclaimed, only slightly out of breath.
Despite the run being just a short distance they barely made it in time when they made it to a small clearing, both of them holding out their hand in determination.
Even if the speed of the star would injure them, they had to at least try.
The stars had other plans though, being that they were once living spirits they were unable to hurt another soul. They drifted just above the girls heads, casting a cool - but peaceful - light over their bodies.
"Since you selflessly tried to save us, you may each name a wish and if it is within our power we will grant it." they said in melodic unison.
"We wish for you to travel back up to the sky and shine brightly forever." Vin said softly.
The stars cried in unison, but the largest one of all spoke with a kind and familiar voice, "You wish to deny us all the chance to be reborn, child?"
"What? No! I want to save you, so you don't die! We will miss your light!" she exclaimed, shocked at the stars confession.
"No, we will not do this for you. You're intentions are true, but ill informed. It is our choice to meet the ground, where we will once again be reborn and walk the earth- like you both are doing now. Do not deny us a chance at happiness, love, and learning. "
"Don't scold Vin like that! She wished only to help you! You all should be grateful!" Nell shouted, defending her friend.
"We are very grateful." the stars said in unison.
"...we are grateful that there are still spirits out there that would do anything to help another. Since we cannot grant your wish, please accept these clothes instead. They will become whatever you need them to be, you only have to think about it."
"Kind of like, Cinderella?" curiously Nell asked, as the blue sparkling lights surrounded each of them.
Only she didn't get a response, only laughter as the stars finished their decent to the snow.
