This is gorgeous. I always love seeing the ponies done in different styles from the show! :-D
On a different note, I am very curious about the legality of selling images of copyrighted characters. This isn't me being accusatory! I just genuinely want to know. I know some artists will do so and some won't. I for one would love to do so if my skills are ever good enough. What are your thoughts on this? Do you know any good sites about this topic off the top of your head? (Obviously I will google this myself, as well, but I'm still interested in your thoughts!)

Tbh, it's not something I'm an expert on - the basics I follow when it comes to derivative works are that the image is purely unique, no copying/tracing/copypasta-ing, and offer something different that is unique to that artist. As far as I know, as long as you aren't using officially licensed artwork for profit, you're probably ok.

Thank you! Though I must say this has quite a lot to do with finding the right kind of colored pencils as well <:3 It had been yeeeeaaarrrrsss since I touched colored pencils before last year because I was so dissatisfied with the kinds I had tried and was used to.
These are a dream to work with <3 time-consuming but ffff they make my boring rudimentary skills actually look pretty
Thanks so much for your kind commentary!

Which brand of pencils do you use? I usually just use Prismacolour, whenever I actually colour with pencils these days (it usually hurts my wrist after a while, which is why I tend not to use them very often anymore), and the only way I can make it look somewhat decent, is to use a blender pencil...but even then, they don't seem to turn out as nice as your stuff :)
After researching all the options i could find i chose these http://www.dickblick.com/products/c.....lored-pencils/ and couldn't be happier the quality is incredible and the color palette is just what I like! They blend and layer like -a dream-
Oh wow, I've never heard of this brand before! Then again, I never really looked or explored all that much either XD A bit on the expensive side, but then again, it's as they say: You get what you paid for ;) I'm going to have to see if I can add a small collection to my wishlist :)
They are always available to order fro my store: http://thepurplehusky.redbubble.com
