Yeah the fire is pretty bad but the rest of it is cool, its a green sonic :p

Actually, I don't think the fire is horrible at all.

The background is in one style, the character and log are in another style and the fire is in yet a third style. Overall the effect is strange but works really well I think.

THank you! It's nice to hear an opinnion from another colourist ^^ I hope when I'll do the "good" version with the character that lacks and the bg made by me (and a good bonfire) it'll be better ^^

(Talking of 2nd versions, I want to go back and re-do every piece that I used the fur filter in... I really don't like how it looks anymore after printing my work out but i'm worried I won't manage to get the pieces as good as they currently are when I redo them, specificaly the commission for Zen and Icelyon that was drawn by GM)

Mmh, do it with those pics you liked the most if you used a lot that filter, or just stop using it and keep those pics as an old style ^^

I meant to say the fur -brush- not filter *doh* I used it on only five of the pieces before I stopped it.

Four of them combined make up 11.5 hours of work. The one that most worries me about redoing (and really, the only one that actually looks good with that effect)is the comission which alone took 17-18 hours (though it was the first time i'd ever used a tablet or Jasc, paint shop pro 8 (used a mouse and MSPaint before that.)

Whatever I do, they will stay up, but I do think i'll redo them, though maybe wait till I learn to use shade, shadow, light and dark properly first.. (certainly for the comission.)
