LOL. While the mask was drying , I took the photo. So yes...the photo is tech "upside down". But I wanted a good view of the mask, so flipped it to being right side up. (lol) Alice in Wonderland brain confussion there. *giggles*


Only when it came to painting each feather bit by bit did I fully see the layers and detail that was put into this mask. Ive done a slow paint work around the beak. There are several layers of feathers here and I wanted to make sure that each "layer" nearly had its own coloring to actually show the layers.

This is the second step of the WIP. The base coats are down and are going to need a second coat. The main bottom feathers have been dry brushed silver. I went back in around the eye and dry brushed silver over the gold. So the tips are golden and the inner areas are silver. I will probably carry this down into the larger area along the bottom.
