I could destroy this entire idea by presenting the proper pronounciation: The 'ou' vowel is closer to the oww sound in 'vowel' - it's not an oooh. Notably 'goud' is Dutch for 'gold', and considering Gouda is known for its golden caramel syrup waffles and its cheese it's fairly appropriate.
