He props the canister in the space of the door and quickly slides out of the room. Just as soon at he stands up the door slams shut breaking the canister at his feet. The observers probably have no idea that he is out because they are busy.

Sp-Jake just stands there for a minute or two, wondering what's going to happen, he then feels something strange about the very nature of the universe and heads over to the lab to run some test. After he finishes his experiments, he concludes that something is very wrong, as the results would show spontaneous reactions in closed systems with positive delta-G values, something that should be thermodymanically impossible. Then a scientist by the name of Maxwell congratulates Sp-Jake on breaking the universe.
