This is a bit dated, but it's a modern Christmas Story.
Sort of like Gift of the Magi, but with a modern twist.
On Christmas Eve last year, a South Carolina woman asked her husband to go out and get some beer - because hey! It's Christmas!
Well, Hubby goes out, but the stores are closed and there's no beer to be had. He comes home to report his failure to his common-law wife.
The Wife got all incensed at him for his failure to provide beer. As he made himself a consolatory sandwich, she picked up a decorative ceramic squirrel . . . and beat him over the head with it before stabbing him in the chest.
Stabbed him in the chest.
With a ceramic squirrel.
She got arrested, he wasn't killed, but you know the best part?
This, from NBC:
"The condition of the squirrel wasn't reported."
