I commissioned the always incredible
thebeesknees for this one. Thank you again, Bees! <3
What we have here is an awesome memory in the making! FYS has gone to Las Vegas for a little vacation with her friends, and they're staying at one of the casinos on the strip. This particular one has avian showgirls on staff, which more than likely played a large role in FYS's hotel booking decision. What she didn't know, though, is that some of those showgirls are also bird handlers, employed to care for and walk around with exotic feral birds, and let interested guests hold them (and maybe sell a picture or two of the event while they're at it).
FYS hardly even knows what to do with herself here! It's certainly not every day that a beautiful avian showgirl sets an equally beautiful bird on your arm, after all. I'm pretty sure this casino has a customer for life now. ^_~
I've had this idea bouncing around in my head for ages, and I'm so pleased to have finally been able to have it brought to life. Bees did such a wonderful job with it!

Heh, you know? I was watching a local blackbird while having lunch the other day - we call them "Ching-clings," but I believe they are otherwise known as grackles. This little bird hung around chirping, and had this cute way of ruffling his feathers up every time it did, so it looked like he was inflating and deflating ^^
Teeheehee. And this piece, more specifically your description, lights on a point that I was considering not to long ago. That being, even in a world where anthro's are present, it's still possible to have feral creatures that appear pretty much as they normally would. I was thinking about it in relation to the Sly Cooper games, most specifically, in the second game you have to deal with feral elephants that, much like the real world, as used as transport and heavy labor; contrarily, in the fourth game you have to deal with a Miss Decibel, who's an anthro elephant. Weirdness that I just now noticed.
It makes sense to me! However the anthros came about in whatever storytelling universe you care to come up with, I don't think they preclude the presence of feral animals. In fact, there's a feral komodo in the background of one of my Jenny pieces from way back. ^_~
I never played that series! I hear it was really good, though.

Indeed, it does make some sense. and that sounds like a piece I may have to look up, just for kicks :P
The series is quite fun! Stealth and thievery are the stands, but it does include quite a few different types of play and objectives, whether it's moving completely undetected through a high security area, hacking computer programs, duking it out with the plethora of bosses, or something else. Very fun series from beginning to end. If you cam I suggest you get the Sly Cooper Collection; first 3 games on one disc. you can't beat that kind of saving!
