Food for the Endless Forest
There exists a forest in Enigma's world with a strange mist that seems to lure people in and enter a trance like state, aimlessly wondering but with the strange urge to keep venturing deeper. The thick mist often tricks those who are more resistant to its magic, giving the illusion of light pouring in from a distant exit. It's unfortunate for those who find themselves here that the forest is full of various carnivorous plants who can take full advantage of their victim's hypnotised mind-frame...
Had this drawn out a couple of years ago but had been debating how to colour it. It may have taken a while but I'm happy to have finished it, plant vore is one of my favourites <3
(Visible) Characters here from left to right; Hawthorne (Fennec fox, his ears will be bigger in future pics), Enigma (Obviously!!), Paul, Cymru, and in the bottom right is a currently unnamed Glam Rock poodle. The green plants with the purple lips have a stretchy pod/stomach at the base of their stem, meaning that prey can easily be seen struggling inside. All other plants have the stomachs at the end of a long stem-like tube beneath ground, although the pitcher plant on the far left holds victims in the lid/mouth section for a while.
Enjoy!

Oooh so many carnivorous plants! =D
I approve ^^
Oooh and stretchy stomach pods at the bottom so struggly prey can be seeing moving about inside? Even better ^^
I love the one in the foreground and the one with the red draggy tail being slurped up the best ^^
Such hungry plants~

I have always been a fan, perhaps since playing Crash Bandicoot as a kid. I had a lot of vore thrown my way when I was growing up haha. I'd been meaning to draw plant vore more often but was too busy drawing dragon noms and fat dragons/sharks...
Oh really? I'd love to read any drafts you'd feel comfortable sharing c:

I think a lot of games/cartoons/films influenced a lot of people, there's so much vore in all of them HOT DAMN
Oh and don't worry, Enigma's been inside both a snake and a croc! Well, gator, but almost!
Le snake (hmmm where could he be?! ;]): http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9464126/
Le gator: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8975189/
You know I'll end up doing more in the future...

Oh, those ones from the first one that you have to jump on before they snap shut? I'd love to draw one of those. I've still got my current queue to get through but I'll note you the second I'm open! I'd love to hear your idea if you wanna note me :D
Thanks! That's ANOTHER thing I need to draw more of, snake vore is another fave - dem bulges <3

Mm no not the water lily type, the ones that have the bulge sliding down their stalks when they eat you
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HczRa6eZyY - Gulp!
But the 'trap' ones that you step on are nice too ^^
Would be cool - step on one, it snaps shut, and then the petals bulge and writhe with the prey struggling inside.
Mmm yes snakes~

Ah sorry, you said fly trap so I instantly thought of the lily ones for some reason. Yessss the purple gulp ones...I spent a lot of time getting eaten by them...by accident of course! >.>'
Yup, pretty much how you described it! Just a big squirming wriggling closed petal plant - the prey really is wasting it's time and energy but oh well...

Because they're traps? :D
Heheh ^^ I wish the red ones in the original game ate you :<
Yeah, sure... "Accident' ;P
Mhmm! All their struggling accomplishes is helping the plant digest faster.... Assuming such a thing is desired by the artist and/or commissioner! Not everyone approves of such a thing ^^
I for one actually quite enjoy digestion, assuming it's not permanently fatal for the prey.

For me digestion happens depending on my mood, the prey and the predator. In my art it happens a lot but I choose not to draw it and leave it to imagination. My prey loses conciousness before the process starts though either from lack of air or being squished by the writhing stomach walls "massaging" them.
Either that or it's harmless full tour vore, or the prey gets spat back up covered in slime XD

Oh murr, stomach muscle massages <3
Snakes and orcas are soooo good at those ^^
Heheh, yeah I've been noticing digestion popping up in my art a lot more often as of late. I still prefer implying it so folks not into it can enjoy the picture as well :)
As long as everyone knows my art is non-fatal in the end, I don't mind doing digestion
Mm being spat back out seems like quite a waste for most preds, considering the energy often spent catching and swallowing them o3o
Depends on the pred and prey though x)
I guess I don't have to worry tooooo much about dragonprey in your art then? :P

Being spat out usually happens if the prey manages to hurt the pred significantly when they're inside, or if the pred is gentle and it's agreed with the prey to let it back out. For example, Enigma's 'special friend' Cymru (the red dragon) often eats Enigma but makes Enigma come back out eventually (either end lol). But most my preds want to keep their meal down though!
Well this dragon here WON'T be escaping unfortunately - none of them will be! >:3

Aww poor pred D: Being hurt...
Well no of course not in THIS image :P
Everyone will be plant nutrients here in a few hours / days, but overall - what happens in this one specific image doesn't affect future appearances. Cymru will make comebacks later on, and so will Enigma and the others (He got caught too I think?)
Is part of what goes along with digestion - they don't escape the predator and instead end up nourishing it, but they'll still reappear in future arts - their reforming and getting a new body happening off-screen or implied.
So yeah, this image none of 'em are escaping, but most if not all will be drawn again later. Is what I meant by the fatal part - they never ever come back (Generics don't count for that "coming back" part. Generally they're only drawn once, fatal or no - unless the design is liked enough to become a character)
Engima's been eaten dozens of times, so those situations couldn't have been fatal (Unless of course it was a story or RP that demanded such :B Which technically wouldn't be canon I guess, since he's still here being eaten!)

Haha, realism plays no part in my art XD They will all die for good here, but every picture is separate. As I said before it just reflects my mood and scenario of a certain picture. It's hard to explain but I know what I mean at least! I usually don't question it too much and just have fun with it - and that's the main point :3 But yeah the majority of the time it's like Kenny from South Park...dies but somehow comes back in the next episode.
Enigma is indeed here! That'd be his hindpaw sticking out the middle one's lips! Where there's vore you can always count on Enigma being there.

Right - the 'death' not being permanent o3o
Specific to that situation (In this case, this picture here) but not overall.
That's why I wouldn't deem this truly fatal - since it's not the end of the character for good - it's just their end in this picture.
(But that does technically worry me with art in general, since I really don't like draggies in truly fatal situations xP As said, I wouldn't classify this one as a truly fatal picture)
I do think I know what you mean though ;P
Cartoon Death :B
A character is never truly dead until the series itself is over :O Then the actor just finds a new job in another show xP
So yeah, I'd still more or less consider this one a temporary death - their bodies gurgled down into nutrients but they'll return, just elsewhere ;P
