omg I know that anime. It's freaking HALAIROUS. I watched it at one of my Anime Cons last year... I couldn't help but laugh.

i saw part of that in Anime club. WOW, that was one messed up show.

Yeah, I had pretty much the exact same reaction.

True story: I was at a friend's house the first time I watched it. He showed me the first episode, which utterly freaked me out. After it was over, I excused myself and went into his kitchen to get something to eat. Without thinking about it, I asked his mother if they had any bread... After which I heard very loud, hysterical laughter coming from my friend's room. He had overheard me.

Hahaha! I love that anime! It's so fun!

I remember seeing an episode at a con once, I believe... didn't interest me much 'cause it was about the "solar hands" part, and I thought it was some drama about bread that took itself far too seriously. There's a reason we have a trope called "Serious Business" after all.

More recently, I caught the part on YouTube where they parody Dragon Ball Z... XD including having one guy wear a fridge/freezer costume. Gee, I wonder who that could be...

......and darn it! Now I'm hungry for fresh baked bread! *shakes fist* Curse yooooouuuuuuu!! >.<

It's true, those wacky japanese really do make manga about any subject, no matter how simple or odd. :D

Yakitate is so amazingly hilarious. And if you want to learn about cooking and random facts while you're watching a crazy youth with super-heated hands, then by all means, Yakitate! Japan is for you! :3
