Thinking warm thoughts in winter are you now, an yes I get that this is what the commissioner wanted. Everything in the image is this just surreal landscape, so warm, so inviting, so intrinsic as if this were a Honeymoon getaway from it all.The cats near water is the first interesting thing I notice, the other is just how great you made the landscape, the water looks so real as it crashes onto the warm sands of the shoreline, the clouds too, all looks great, romance, while hand in hand.
The sun in the sky,
Gets caught in our eyes,
This pure, absorptive force-
Pulls us for the shore,
And sets us down on course.
The tide, will return to the sea.
We'll create our own destiny.
Let these waves set us free,
We will forge our own legacy.

*chuckles* Actually, my fiance has been complaining about how warm the temperature has been here! Everywhere else in North America has been very cold, but here it's been almost like spring or autumn temperatures!
Thank you so much, again, for the lovely comment :) Makes me wish we could go camping right now x_x

So yo are back in west Canada again, I would suspect it to be warmer there. The coldest places has been the Rockies and eastward mostly, like around where I live has been in these conditions frequently.
An I am not sure how my comment makes you wish you could go on a camping trip, but I guess be fun for you to do.

Heh, yeah, the Canadian Shield doesn't allow water seepage, so it's not surprising that Ontario has some of the most lakes in Canada of all the provinces. But there are also plenty around where I live :) Shore and rainforest and snowy mountains and rivers and lakes :D <3
The horizon line bothers me the most. It lacks the effect of atmospheric distortion due to the distance that light would travel to the eye to see it. It reminds me of photography class when my teacher told me that "air is dirty". There is a lot of stuff in it (eg. dust particles, organisms, moisture, etc.) that can make things far away not look as clear, or foggy, even on a clear day. Also, if it is the sea we're talking about, there could be sea spray and salt floating around. [Yummy, yummy salt.] But one could argue that in the realm of stylized realism that could be a mistake gotten away with. That reminds me of what my writing professor once said: "Good art pulls off mistakes... good art gets away with it." I dunno. Maybe I'm just playing Devil's advocate. You're welcome for the critique. Keep up the good work.
