An overly-eager Nyaasu introduces her friend Jay to the majesty of EarthBound… and it seems that an over-abundance of snack food isn't the ONLY reason the poor 'roo rat won't sleep well tonight…
An absolutely amazing piece by the ever-wonderful Nyaasu! We've had this pic in mind for, oh, ages. The original impetus behind it was a comment I made about how I'd never even been in the same room as a turned-on NES or SNES as far as I knew, and she threatened to drive over to my house and force me to play some classic games (and considering we live on opposite sides of the continental USA, that's quite a drive she was threatening to make), and it just sort of sprang into my mind of the two of us playing as if we actually knew each other at the time the NES and SNES were top dogs (no pun intended). Also, for the record, I still haven't played a Mario game for longer than five minutes OR EarthBound, but I have FINALLY played on an actual working Nintendo Entertainment System (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, for the record) at Further Confusion this weekend.
Anyway, this pic is simply wonderful, and I love everything this girl draws! *big hugs* Thanks again, and I really wish you hadn't pushed yourself so hard to finish it today. :<
