A cheap 4lb head reforged into a rounding hammer, will be tempered then handled, having the boyfriend hold it in place made life soooo much easier :)

Cheers :) I tried getting him to be my striker with the sledge at first but...I got him to hold it in place instead. I'm a little more confident with beating the hell outta something.

Yeah, it's anything but easy when you aren't a well practised team ^^
But it doesn't look like it was done by small, hand-hammer blows... Kudos! Looks like you got some punch! Also how heavy a hammer is it?

4lb head. Have two more to do, one will be a french style 3lb and the other a czech about 3.5lb. It was all done with a 3lber so I was swinging high. Fullering tool took a beating.
