Varanis looks okay, I can't find any grave flaws here. And I agree: your local fashion fits to him VERY well.
But ya know what? I love the background even more!!!!!
My personal highlight: the bluish tree on the left side. The curling wood, the colours and soft yellow highlights make this part of the picture very special. Sweet.
Also, the ruins and forest looks especially nice. ^_^
There is just one flaw: the stairs.
The part of the stairs which is directed at us should be MUCH darker - considering the light source!

Yeah, he wanted to see if Varanis is suitable in my world. In my opinion, he might be suitable almost in everywhere XD
