Blood dripped down onto a reddening earth, despite the felid-creature's attempts to staunch the flow. A snarl ripped past his lips, twisting his face into a horrible grimace - showing his pain, and to intimidate his foe.
Even his wings had not escaped injury; one's feathers had been twisted and pulled at to the point that some were falling out, and others were shaped into a messy heap.
His opponent had drawn first blood.
But he would not be beaten down.
My half of a trade with Fweeblies, featuring her character Jay (a member of her own original specie).
This is my first time (at least in a while) attempting a "fighter's stance" or something involving an injury; I believe the last one I drew like this was one of my first attempts at an anthro character (maybe a Neopet OC?), who also happened to be slightly similar to cats. Ha; funny how that works out!
I look forward to attempting a pose like this in the future - it might not be too "intense" or as amazing as others' artwork, but I am happy with it for the time being.
