Even if some of the art shown in your gallery tend to demonstrate a tough look,
this one expression is really soften. It give your character a way nice feel over it ^^

Actually, you're pretty much correct. XD
I never really intended him to look tough or really anything like that outside of any commissions involving him fighting, but most of the artists I have commissioned just made him look that way. XP
Always meant for more of a soft/warm/welcoming feeling to be around him. That's why personally, my two favorite facial shots of him are this one and http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12027245/
