LOL! The mucous rolled off my skin easily. If you squeeze them or make them mad they seem to excrete a slime that is next to impossible to get off.

Awww! I kept one as a pet for a while but let it go where I found it when I had to go on vacation. Slug sitters are hard to find. It was a fun pet tho and I've thought about getting another. They are all over where I work.
You should post pics of your slug! :D

oh i plan to at some point but getting him to sit still when he is active is hard. and when he is not active he is just a yellow and brown potted lump. Luckily for me my roommates love him as much as i do so i never have problems finding a sitter.

i have friends that surprise me with there levels of over reaction towards say my slug or stick insects or large millipedes or even a found caterpillar. yet these same people claim to love all animals.

but luckily my roommates are not the same

Dawwww! Thats so cute! My friend has pet slugs and they are adorable LOL some do some silly things and its just fun to watch them.

That is -awesome-! I kept one of the banana slugs as a pet for a while but I had to go on a long vacation so I set it free where I found it.
You should take some pics of your friend's slugs! :D

She is in Las Vegas so its hard...hehe but if I can I will get the chance. She has Sea Snails too, those are cute and silly they like to float up on the bubbles XP

Aww thanks! We have them around work. They are native to the pacific coast. They are banana slugs! The mascot of UC Santa Cruz even XD
I traded having toads around where I lived to having giant slugs! XD

It really picks me up on bad days. I'll pause and watch them. Luckily my boss is an animal person so she doesn't mind when I stop to inspect the wildlife. >.>
