I made a model of the mysterious box that's revealed at the start of My Little Pony season 4. When the ponies restore the Tree of Harmony, this flower grows out of the ground and blooms, revealing a box with six keyholes.
All the modeling and texturing was drawn by me.

Thanks, I have been making a few models over the last few weeks and putting them on SL. It's up on the marketplace for L$450 which is about €2. I'm really just making them for fun though, not for making any money.
I just saw your post about that. UV mapping can be quite tedious, especially with SL because you have to be a bit more careful than you do with a full 3D modeling package like Blender or Maya (if you're careless with it, it will push up the cost).

Everything is harder for SL :P it adds limitations and bugs that you have to keep in mind and work around while you are creating your model. You also have to be very careful with the number of vertices you are creating, or it will use too many resources. I think I am going to write a tutorial about it, because it's rather complicated and I think a lot of people could benefit from a good tutorial.
Yeah I am still working on the giraffe - I am planning to go there in May - it will be lots of work but at least it keeps me occupied. We're going to replace all the LEDs with brighter ones, and I'll redo the data bus for that.

I am sure many people will appreciate a tutorial. :) Awesome that you're thinking about making one. I usually don't have the patience to make a tutorial. Have tried it once with drawing wolf-heads, but it's not really my thing. So that makes me have lots of respect for you that you're seriously thinking about making one. I might have a look at it too, if you've made it. Who knows, maybe I'll learn something from it that might come in handy for the 3D stuff I'm supposed to make.
