How did you do the thing around 3:25 where the synth gets really messed up?

Ahh thanks man, glad you like it ^_^ uhh i think for that bit of synth i originally had the LFO amount down low but had it at a high-ish rate, then just slowly increased the amount of LFO used from about 3:24 for the next four bars :3 if that makes sense?

Ah, so basically, either using an LFO on pitch, and increasing the speed, or possibly frequency-modulating the synth by a low-frequency sine wave, and increasing the FM?

That could maybe work yeh but for the lead I was using, it would increase in pitch by itself as you gradually increased the global LFO amount (possibly under dry/wetness?). I kept the speed the same (low-freq sine wave but with a relatively fast rate) and with a bit of glide added to the synth too. Then over the last 4 bars, before the start of the breakdown, I just went from almost no LFO to shizloads of it and it came out sounding like that. In theory though it should do the same just by slowly adding in more LFO while bending the pitch. I've not used FLstudios before tho :/ but i think your just looking to gradually give the sine waves a bigger amplitude rather than a faster frequency :3 does that help at all?
