but it is home.

What was it ? The school you used to go or the building you used to live in ?

Nothing like that.
This is the derelict building that sits at the top of a hill near where I live / grew up.
I used to always play around it. My friends and I, from when we were 5, used to
dig holes around it and try to pick the locks, always failing. We climbed up the walls and peered through the windows.
Always a meeting place for us. the most loved location of my childhood.
Nowadays it is a place of refuge to me. A solitary place that I call home.
Nowhere do I feel as welcome as there.
