It pisses me off that people are leaving FA due to some stupid bullshit that has literally nothing to do with them. Fa has been the start of many artist's careers here, ya it shuts down some times, but FA hasn't asked for anything in return and has been allowing me and many others to devote themselves to art 100% and make a living at the same time.
Who is right or wrong shouldn't concern anyone here, if it was a serious problem, it would have been brought to the local authorities and dealt with already.
Can we all just go back to fulfilling our own freaky fantasies with art?

How are the admins going to "fix" a bunch of people freaking out over something that happened in the past and has nothing to do with them?
I admit they could have handled it better initially, but at this point it's mostly a matter of waiting it out and letting the shit cool down.

Why should he leave? His art is amazing and he contributes a lot to this community. His personal business, is HIS personal business, if he posts about it, you have the choice to get involved or not.

FA went down several times and they've pretty much held the site for ransom under the guise of begging for donations for new servers. People got nothing in return for this. Your argument about being weird at walmart is completely unrelated to Deskai's point and is invalid.
Your original argument is invalid too since people are moving to other sites that really don't ask people for stuff and lets them post their art much more freely than here. You wanting to ignore all the drama that's going on here almost suggest that you're ok that someone was raped before as long as you get to keep seeing animal tits.

It seems like you're putting the burden of proof entirely on this Zaush to somehow prove they didn't commit a rape, and you've already decided that the word of the accused is the only one that has any validity, thereby eliminating any possibility they could have to deny it.
Lacking police involvement, or any outside real-world investigating, all there is here is a bunch of accusations, and people attacking on claims that are already considered by de facto to be true by some against this Zaush person.

When someone mentions the possibility that Zaush could be innocent, all it seems you were doing is pointing out that he has no recourse but to accept said accusations. How could he prove his innocence if you have already decided that the majority of accusations are already true, as your journal points out?
My journal pointed out that rape survivors like myself are rarely believed, treated like shit by the justice system, often condemned by our own friends, families and communities, and every last failing on our part is picked on as a reason for what happened to us or a reason to disbelieve our experiences.

Did I talk about priority? No. I talked about compassion for the victims of rapes and not dragging the person's name through the muck because the accused walked free.

I'm not talking about guilt or innocence, I'm talking about taking police convictions as the absolute truth and the lack thereof as proof that something never happened and that the accused is a liar. You're the person trying to force me to talk about your own interests rather than what I was talking about to begin with. The world doesn't revolve around you and your interests, and I was writing about my own experiences backed up with statistics to question the poor critical thinking exhibited by a great many furries, and the overall ignorance of the reality of criminal law and our society as a whole.

No Taco Bell tacos, look more towards La Casa tacos, it's a hole in the wall place where I used to live, I ate their once, and just shat out my inners for 38 minutes, it was a mix of blood, beans and what I assumed was Fanta, and meat. I saw the food I ate two days previously.

Everyone is looking for one reason or another to jump ship and join the brand new shiny website. And I'd not have a problem with this if I had more time and a better attention span, but I just have enough time keeping up with everything here, and splitting between two or three sites is just not something I'd be able to do. But beside that point, there is the issue that this is an art website, not a highschool, not a government entity, not a fucking popularity contest to see who is going to be the fucking prom king and queen. Allegations about someone who was chosen to be a Mod should have nothing to fucking do with the site or how it works. Its like the people who said they wanted to pull funding from the Mighty No. 9 project because they did not like what the one marketing promoter said about the game. Guess what? What she says and thinks does not mean SHIT to that game, and what this one mod did means SHIT to the site. When he literally starts dropping ban hammers on artists left and right, THEN you can complain, but right now the rats are leaving the sinking ship when the ship is not sinking!

I tend to keep my nose clean when it comes to snooping in others business or even drama and staying out of it. However power point being made here. The person who made the accusation went to an administrator instead of authorities. What can he do besides ban him? Not much, so even if the administrator went through drastic measures, to his abilities this wouldn't prevent the perpetrator from doing the same thing or even solve the current issue.

One thing I respect about FurAffinity is that unlike certain other websites, its interface is for the most part compatible with alternative methods of Internet browsing, like game consoles. I regularly get massive lag if I try using a site like deviantART or Tumblr (moreso its dashboard) on my 3DS or Wii, but I can use FA with few to no problems.
I get the frustration over downtime issues and various other things, but hey, it's a free website and one of the few to play nice with browsers on game consoles. That's fine by me.

Not counting his art postings, I do not follow the guy at all. I don't know anything about this debacle, so I accept the various possibilities that he is innocent. So, until I see an article of his conviction and sentencing, I will continue to do so. For the whole leaving FA thing, I agree it is a knee jerk mob mentality thing- and being down south, that sort of thing gets really old, really fast.

I understand the shitstorm happening, but why did everyone revive this old drama llama that was probably taken care of literally years ago?
IMO, I would go to Weasyl just for the simple fact it's a much better site in terms of customization and options, but not so in the community and population; there aren't nearly enough people on it :c

The reason it got revived is because the person that was accused was given the head of coding on the FA update they are working on and that may give him potential access to users private information and private notes, nothing has been clarified on that. To add to the uproar they started banning people who were talking about it and voicing concerns rather than addressing the concerns, which they still have yet to do.
I know the senseless drama is hard to stomach is it not? Well, Might want to get used to it, Laddie. Cause this is a common reaction among FA users to a lot of stupid petty shit. "FA crashed? LEAVING. Dragoneer did not keep me satisfied cause I am self centered? LEAVING. What is that? Dragoneer hired someone that has been accused of rape years ago? YEARS DOES NOT MEAN SHIT! LEAVING." i'm trying to ignore the whole shenanigans that goes on on this site seeing as it's really not my problem what people cook up for each other but it doesn't make it easier when every day i get spammed with opinion/rage journals by every artist i follow on this site. no one's to blame but it's very annoying. i'm an art whore not a furry drama enthusiast

The fact the subject was even brought up, you can't blame certain people for being upset if it's a moral thing for them. It's their opinion/choice in the end of the day.
The one thing I will say is stupid is people saying they'll riot, leave or what-not. If you're going to do it, do it. Don't fucking piss about saying you'll do something and decide not to 15 minutes later.

Im just going say that your just producing more supposed drama with this devil... and in turn making more people lieve at this point, people arnt leaving alone because of recent acusations and seeing a Community that has degraded to the point that it'l attack anyone who's lieving and is making jokes("they always come back" mantra for exsample) about it, its stand to reason that non will ever return to a community like FA acting so inmature on the matter.

For some, it's not the sexual assault issue per se, it's more or less staff's shitty job of handing not only the fallout of the whole rape debacle and its resurfacing drama, but just their incompetence as site runners, community managers, and decision-making in general. Plus the mountains of empty promises from upwards of 7+ years back. The re-emergence of this event and their means of handling it was just the final nail in the coffin for them.
People are just finally tired of being dicked around by the staff, that's all.
