Houdini, my traditionally colored golden/Syrian hamster is checking out his newly cleaned bin cage yesterday. He is wondering if he should chew on or burrow through the fresh timothy hay. He choose to do both! *giggles*
Just a bit of FYI: He received the name Houdini after escaping 3 times within the first 48 hours after I rescued him from a friend's neighbor that was moving last month.
I hope to be able to move him into a new larger cage with more space. I just need some money from commissions to do it.

Actually this is the old plastic bin him and Onyx came in. It is only 5 gallons which is half the size of what a typical hamster cage should be. I want to get him a new larger cage like this one. There is one at my local pet store for $24 before sales tax. Plus, the added bonus of buying from the pet store is I can cash in on 10% off anything for small animal care that they carry from food to bedding to gnawing toys the same day I buy the cage. I just need the commission money to do it.
