SOMNIA: The city of Dreams. A central hub and place of trade for all aspects of the mind. With the River of Dreams flowing through its canals, the actions of the people here dictate the thoughts and beliefs of those in the waking world, and vice versa. A dream you have can manifest itself in this realm... and likewise, the actions of the Somnians can affect your own thoughts.
Mt. Gehenna - The "Fire and Brimstone Hell." Home to all sorts of nasty demons. Satanic tormenters of the Damned, creatures of living flame, The Republican Party, as well as your typical demons, devils, and imps. Damien and Jezebel live there.
Dessert Island - Candy. Cookies. Cakes. Chocolate. FUCKING SWISS ROLLS. Everything a person with a sweet tooth and no concern for his blood sugar could desire.
Tropica - Come take a load off at this literal dream resort. Mix with the natives, speak with the Big Heads, go for a swim. Just don't go too far out to sea. The serpents are hungry. Also, if you see the natives banging on drums and preparing a giant cauldron, LEAVE. QUICKLY.
Mt. Tartan - All things celtic to be celebrated in these hills. Traditional music, competitions of strength, and the best booze you can find in dreams. If someone there picks a fight with you, don't be afraid. It's a display of friendship!
Amethyst Plateau - This whole mountain range is made of pure, perfect amethyst. When the sun shines through it, the whole landscape turns purple.
Fructus Tundra - Frozen treats and chilly eats. Get an all-natural Snocone here! Pick a popsicle from the rocks. Dig up some ice cream with a shovel. And yes, you can eat the yellow snow. It's lemon flavor.
Pagan's Grove - Return to nature and hear the wisdom of the druids. Or go camping. Just remember: If you aren't MASTER of the woods, you're an ENEMY of the woods. The savage tribes of brownies riding on their wolves don't take kindly to outsiders.
Cheshire's Woods - Rumor has it that a certain cat came up from the Rabbit Hole, and claimed these woods for his own. If you find him, or any other locals, just remember... He's quite mad. But he loves a good riddle!
Sugar Glacier - It's not made of actual sugar. It's snow. Hey, SOME location names here aren't literal.
Kringleville - Santa is always happy to have visitors, as long as they're on the "Nice" list. But no, you can't take a present, those are home-delivery only. The elves are very strict about that.
The Rabbit Hole - The Red Mushrooms will make you bigger. The others will make you small. Just be cautious when you go down there. Wonderland is still quite fun, but it isn't the innocent place it used to be. Alice lives down there.
Yggdrasil - The tree of life is a mystery even to Somnia's scholars. Surrounded by wisps, and fairies, it radiates an aura of pure, distilled life and benevolence. Some believe that the tree itself is a sentient being, communicating through avatars when it wishes to speak directly to mortals. Adonis lives there.
The Rainbow Bridge - Spirits of tamed animals and pets wander around the roots of Yggdrasil, patiently waiting for their masters. From there, the bridge extends skyward to the Moon. None have returned from their journey there.
The Moon - Ducktales_TheMoon.mp3
Pit of Repression - The pit is a place of absolute dread, home to memories that must be forgotten. If you've ever had a terrible childhood experience, and now cannot even remember it... It's waiting for you here. If you have a deep-rooted fear of something that could happen to you... It's waiting for you here. This is a place of pure, distilled TRAUMA. Even the natives of Mt. Gehenna are too scared to go near it. Every so often, something crawls out...
Strawberry Field - Mmmm. Strawberries. The singing farmers are always willing to sell a bushel or two. Or you could get a discount if you help them deal with their occasional beetle infestations. Or if you don't want to work the Strawberry Field forever, you can just let it be.
Cybertown - Robots and cyborgs and lasers and credsticks. Magic tends to interfere with electronic devices though, so the technology is pretty much confined to this area.
Loch Tranquility - A place of transcendence and meditation. The water is clear. There is no wind. There are no fish. Nothing disturbs the waves. Everything here is pure, quiet, the only sound being your own heartbeat, and your thoughts. It's a place of sublime beauty, or soul-crushing boredom, depending on your point of view.
The Spiral of Madness - Whether you're slowly losing your sanity, or you're totally tripping balls, This swirling island will take you on a trip. Watch out for hippies and screaming lunatics.
The Nadir - What awaits you in the center island is either an epiphany, or a mental breakdown. It's a real crap shoot.
The Orphanage - Lost children without families usually end up here. Functioning as a school as well, the matrons do their best to take care of the children, but being so shorthanded, they are overworked, and some of the kids don't get the protection, comfort, or guidance they need. Jessie and Tengka used to live here. Miss Honker is still teaching.
Somnia U - What's your career path, Dreamwalker? Slayer of nightmares? Scholar of the Zeitgeist? Professional Muse? Freudian Architect? Anything related to dreams can be learned here.
Which place would YOU like to go??

Wow... This is amazing...
One thing I need to ask though: does Jessie & Friends (or "Friends") and Somnia reside in a kind of extra-material magical dream world seperate from ordinary reality?
Or to put it in D&D terms: do Jessie & Friends live on the Outer Planes with connections to the Prime Material, or is it just a VERY odd Prime Material plane?
Yeah, sorry if that got confusing :P

I remember a map like this from a textbook in German class. It was called "Land of Fairy Tales", and the task was to think of and draw more places we think ought to be there.
And repression is not about memories or trauma, that's Recovered Memory Therapy: http://www.amazon.com/Making-Monste.....aking+monsters The Freudian concept of repression is about desires you're not allowed to have and conflicts regarding those.

RMT apologists will point to Freud's 1885 Studies on hysteria (which was actually written by Joseph Breuer) and his 1900 Interpretation of Dreams still haunted by Breuer's ideas before he broke away from them with his 1905 Three Essays. RMT apologists will claim that he broke away from them because of their bad 1880s reception at the Vienna Medical Society. The outrage caused was not, as claimed, that Breuer called sexuality evil, corrupting, and harmful (which was well-established and nothing new), but because they were applying the word hysteria (Greek for "womb") to males.
The Rainbow Bridge sounds like it has ponies (*YUCK!*).
Where I'll go? Probably down the Rabbit Hole, to be tripping balls with Alice, adult-style. Then again, are the singing farmers at Strawberry Fields four in number and hail from Liverpool? After all, it's a real pity that two of them have already made it from composing to decomposing IRL, so it'd be great to meet all the four of them in their prime.

I heard when alice is on her period
madness happens to her and the queen has to send out as many guards as possible so alice can murder them making sure no one can tell some of it is her blood as well

I'd work in the Strawberry Fields forever, providing the farmers look like this: http://www.direttanews.it/wp-conten.....ds/Beatles.jpg
The pit of repression seems rather nice to dump some old memories into. After that Cybertown would look rather promising, might certainly be worth a visit. Also the strawberry field looks like a nice place to be, I might surely would like to visit that too. Also Loch Tranquility. That seems to be a nice place for introspection and reflection. I would surely enjoy a stay there. Somnia U seems to be an inviting place too. Dreams are quite fascinating, can't hurt to learn more about them. I surely would like that. From there I guess nothing would look more mythical and scenic then Yggdrasil, so I would love to pay that giant tree a visit. And the rainbow bridge to the moon looks quite inviting too, somehow. But maybe I should delay that certain trip for a while...
