smooth looks well but i got to admit the fur on the left side is just awesome. rare that artists put that time into work .) (just nipples are missing :P)

XD Fur covers nipples, and I didn't want to rate it mature, because I need that feedback. ;)

heh. true. and perks nipples would show out of short fur i think .)

out of curiosity, how long did each side take?

I like the fuzzy fluffiness of the left side. However the right seems to be more artistically pleasing to me.

Hard decision. As most people I like both, but if I had to give a preference, I would choose the right one. For me it's very hard to make a style without outlines really work, though I am rather pleasently surprised with this example. But it is a lot more work, is it not ? Seeing as there is some discrepancy in what people like, maybe just be able to do both? I mean, obviously you are ^.^

Die linke Seite wirkt "realistischer" aber ich denke beides sieht gut aus es kommt ganz darauf an wie das Bild nachher aussehen soll.

Ich denke rechts ist für was schnelles ganz gut, aber links gefällt mir besser. Mehr Flausch. ^_^

personaly i prefer the left more then the right, of cource that would mean more work for you but it adds a new level of detail to the drawn character and will be perticularly useful for characters that have very long fluffy or rough Fur that just looks to short haired in the other style.

By the way when you drew the fur there did you follow the direction of body musculature or did you just do what you felt best?

I am really not used to this kind of style and do try to imagine the fur of my cats. But I tried to follow the bodies structure.

I prefer the left. It has a greater sense of realism. The right side would be great for comics, though.

Auch wenn es sicher viel aufwendiger ist, ist die linke Seite wo das das Fell sehr realistisch rüber kommt einfach sehr schön. Ich gebe den anderen aber recht das es immer im Gesamt-Kontext des Bildes die Wirkung sich erst entfaltet. Und da haben beide Seiten ihre Stärke.

I think I like left better because of the way the leg separates from the hip and crotch. I also like the fuzzy look. its hard to tell though with it split down the middle, maybe mirror them for 2 separate pics if you care that much. They both look really good and im into amputation so this is really getting me going regardless of fur style XD
