VDO also commissioned some cool ideas not involving his characters.

► VDO's description:

"So, this guys says to me, '7 feet tall? Whoa, you ARE huge!' Which I am, of course. Being a lady hyena and all. But then he points out, 'you're almost as big as a house!' We both kind of laugh about that a bit, naturally, heh heh. But then I do have to admit, 'Yeah, you're kinda right. I'd better do something about that!' We laugh again, and he suggests, 'well, no point aiming low. Might as well be as big as a mountain!' So I nod and tell him, 'that's a good point, back in a few.' I take a quick jog down to the gym, and start on my usual workout. Then keep going. And going. And going... And going... So, yeah! That was my morning. How were all yours, down there?"

"Huff... Huff... Huff... Whew! I do love having such a huge powerful Pokemon... But I'm not going to pretend it's not a lot of work! O-Okay, boy, that's 10 miles we've walked so far; you done?"
*BARK!*
"... Okay, okay, another 10, then. Huff... Huff... Huff... I just hope we don't pass any more cars..."

"Mmmm... My lovely little sphere... It's so good to see you again! I've missed you so alllllll day, waiting to feel your powerful light shine on me once more... Filling my body up with your might and beauty, letting me return to my better side... I'll never get tired of the sensation of the change, when fur erupts over my body and my teeth turn into fangs and my growth shoots me up through the atmosphere in seconds... Feeling all those teensy little buildings and cities and countries slipping underneath my fluffy padded toes... And, most of all, curling my arms around your rocky splendor as I get big enough to reach out and snuggle you again! <3 Oh, stay with me forever, my beloved moon... Let me grow unstoppably until the end of time, with you held close in my warm loving embrace..."

Dave paced back and forth nervously as he glanced at his armaments: a bouquet of lilacs (her second-favorite gift), and a head-sized wedge of cheese (her favorite gift). Liane had been away for the entire summer, going back home to her family for the off semester. And every day of the cat's routine had been harder than the last with her gone. Sure, he'd been texting her constantly, and emailing and calling and so on, but it really wasn't the same. He'd felt like he'd been missing a critical part of himself, and every new moment made him wish for more of her, more of her, more of her...

"Daaaaa-aaaaave!"

Dave nearly dropped his gifts as he turned, eyes wide and bright. "Liane! Welcome back! I've missed you soooo much!"
"Awww, you sweetie! You, uh, got my messages, right? The ones about a big surprise for you?"
"I did, but the only gift I want right now is to pick you up and hug you tight again!"
"Oh. Uh... W-Well, I'm not sure how well that will go, but we can try! Why don't you come on out and we can, uh, see each other again?"
Laughing, Dave shouted, "already on my way!" He dashed out the door and smiled at the empty porch. "... Liane?"
"Up here!"

Dave stared up as a feminine, familiar rodentish finger with claws as long as he was tall slipped under his feet and lifted him skyward. The incomparably beautiful face of his mousey girlfriend filled his view in a way it had never managed to before.

"So, uh... Surprise! It's me, Dave, Liane. I, uh, had a growth spurt. What do... What do you think of it?"

Dave held out his arms. "I think you're going to have to give me that hug, instead!"
"Oh, thank you, Dave, I was worried you might not- Oooh, are those lilacs? And cheese? Awww, you're the sweetest!"

The mouse and the cat leaned in together, nuzzling affectionately as they snuggled.
