I commissioned one of my favourite artists ever, 
Hibbary, for a traditional sketch and I had permission to color it, so I did. I love it so much...She drew her so perfectly, it made it easy to color her. :)

Quite appropriately thematic qualities to this piece - everything works quite well between each independent element like the hair, the horns, the leaves, and most of all, the butterfly with the character herself.

<3<3<3 Nimmeth always makes my heart smile. The reflection of her to you bare with it a honed fidelity that goes beyond words.
Also I have to add..and I don't know whether it was intentionally requested when you commissioned the sketch, but did you request that her eyes be closed? There is something so ethereal and captivating about the fact that she has never been drawn (unless I missed it) with her eyes open. In a way this imbues her with a pristine innocence that draws me to her...
