Over the years, I had collected a number of T-shirts of anthropomorphic characters from comic books, comic strips, webcomics, animated cartoons, and other media. Only recently had I begun to collect some interesting tees with 'fat furries' on them...
Examples include a T-shirt with a classic "Far Side" gag about a burly bear (who was sporting a 'deer gut') and a T-shirt with 'Fat Rat' (a character created and drawn by
Beiro). More recently,
Funimal got me a tee with a similarly fat rat (the logo of a company), who wasn't as fat as Beiro's creation, but was close enough for jazz...
My latest acquisition is one of the garments representing the popular series "Rollin' Wild": a collection of CGI short subjects (ranging in running time length from 30 seconds to a full minute) mostly involving round and rotund jungle animals. (My favorite short involved an extra chunky cheetah pursuing a gorbellied gazelle in slow motion [a la "National Geographic" specials], and the inevitable mishap that occurs when predator finally catches up with prey.)
Long story short, I'd bought a red T-shirt with said cheetah from a website that sells all sorts of "Rollin' Wild" wares (including jackets, coffee/tea mugs, maternity dresses, cell phone covers, etc.) with various other obese beasts (e.g. leopard, zebra, crocodile, etc.) on each item.
Of course, the fat fauna on this merchandise are of the non-anthro variety, but there's no reason why anthropomorphic fatties can't buy these wares...
So, for my latest "EFF" comic gag, I have an anthropomorphic cheetah sporting an XXX-Large T-shirt with his non-anthro counterpart prominently displayed on the front. (BTW, this is another one of my vertical presentations - instead of a horizontal strip - so you see more details on the actual tee, not to mention the expression of the shirt's wearer.)
Incidentally, if you want to see the "Rollin' Wild" website (and possibly bookmark it), just go to http://www.rollinwild.com/ . (You can also 'like' the "Rollin Wild" wall on Facebook.) And, of course, you can view the animated CGI shorts on YouTube. (Just remember to type in "Rollin' Wild".)
