Awesome stuff. I know this is probably a pretty generic sounding response, but that song sounds like it'd make awesome "dungeon" music for an RPG. For some reason it made me think of Tales of Symphonia. o_o

It sounds a bit presets-ish to me. it's pretty well assembled. Since it has percussion I think it feels like a building climax. It may suit well to have no percussion of a decent period and build up to th insert of percussion making that seem climactic etc.

ouch, presets? I assure you, those "preset" sounds are probably the sequencers I used, they are really just a few combinators with some matrix or redrum patterns controlling other objects within the combinator rack... hopefully you understand what im talking about ^ ^;
I'm listening to it without drums right now and it sounds ok without them, which is good, I don't do so well with percussion, bleh, ive reached that point where i can't think seem to make things work, I'll have to set this aside till I have my inspiration for it back. :/

When I said presetsy I meant like...The string or chorus type sounds. If they aren't presets than certainly, sorry. They strike me as rather common (though that isn't anything bad, just I guess it's easy to get caught up in the electronic idiom of invention)

The beat is kind of generic but I still can't seem to produce the aphexy beats I want to. Anyway it's still a pretty minimal track (kind of very minimal), but I personally feel like it builds up to something and plays itself out.
Hopefully I'm not talking out my ass.
