I felt like writing something soft and nostalgic for a change of pace from what I usually feel like writing. Inspired because I spent half my day hanging out with my best friends from high school; two of which have plans to move to Europe.
I suppose this could also end up as the first song for something
tanukisan and I have been talking about lately; an indie-pop project a la The Postal Service in the manner in which we'll record. It's called "Echo Transit"

I know we've been working on this, but good ol' FA lets me separate myself from thinking about music for a sec and appreciate the lyrics. The theme of leaving and moving on and growing up are pretty personal. I left home last year, leaving a few good friends. They haven't come to visit like they said. I grew up after moving out. They didn't, for the most part. And in my growing up, I became more of a kid than ever. This confuses them. The friends I do have now are ones I can't touch, 'cept for the special one that came with me.
Nobody left for a foreign country, but hey, Texas is pretty big. ;.;
