Agreed. "New" Shayla looks like a thirteen year old boy in "tomboy drag" while the "old" Shayla, still being tomboyish, is also far more feminine.

I remember this series.. heck.. tried to collect it all to my personal comic archives. Always loved how the mouse got with Trevor the horse when she got drunk and "failed" to seduce him.. ( and then pushed him off the bed *Ker-THUD!* <"...ow.." > )

But yeah, I prefer the older style, myself. The 70% human look is just awkward to me, but it's his art choice.

Hate to say it but I much preferred your old style over your new one. The new style feels horrifically overdone.

Myself, I do like a bit more of the 'muzzle' of the characters and not just the human faces, but that's just me.

I've done this myself occasionally. It's neat to revisit an old idea and see just how much the style has changed.
I really enjoyed the comic back then, and I'm glad you're still keeping up on the characters (even though I too tend to lean more toward the older style faces).

Also, Trevor seems to be the one that's gone through the most changes, but maybe that's just because his muzzle was so long.

They just look like people with funny ears... never noticed that before you just showed it... that's kinda sad.

Gotta say I agree with the above. loved the older style, more anthro style than the more human style. Still loved the comic though. Lots of laughs and faps.

Yeah your old was more appealing to those who liked the anthro-look more (Myself included) but still collect your art and its good.
On a side note, ever thought of remaking the whole comic? after all they were only 77 pages.

My biggest gripe about the original comic was the image sizes, 585x900 was really small even back then, later the image size grew a little (650x1000) but not much. If you still have the originals and care to re-scan them in high-res it would be a very welcome thing.

I love that you progressed your art. i feel that is always a good thing to do. However, that being said; I'm a fan of the older version of your art.
That's not to say that your new style is bad. not at all. It's pretty good. I just prefer the old better.

Yeah, you've grown considerably in skill, but I still prefer the older stylistic decisions in how you chose to represent the characters. The newer versions fall squarely in the uncanny valley for me.

You skill has really improved, but I like the old character stylization better.

Ah, back when your anthros looked like anthros. Your skill in linework has notably improved, but all your characters look terrible now. This is the first picture of yours I've commented on in...well, ages.

It all uncanny abyss. Were it too close to human but not quite there. It just come of as creepy. I sorry I find most of you work hard to look at after the style change. The technical skill you have is plane to see, but maybe you should just go full human at this point. I love your older work but now I just don't know, maybe 1 in 20. This is all taste of coarse and I am not hating here. This is your work, I'm just giving feed back.

I know artists like to improve but for my taste the improvement is weird looking humans (like real weird)
Rather make new chars than try to uhhh squeeze the old ones into new shapes, because they turned from having character into something weird.
