to be fair, the tail stripes are the only thing that are reminiscent to Bya, and if you check out Jager's older sona there are only supposed to be 6 stripes that only span across the very tip of the tail. It was a little error on the artist's part to make more stripes and send them half way up the entire length of his tail.
