(1991) Song Break: Fry Your Kelp
From 1991. Adapted from “Cry For Help” written by Rick Astley and Rob Fisher.
There’s a traditional Korean dish called dasima twigim (다시마튀김): kelp (usually kombu) quick-fried and seasoned with salt or sugar. For dasima bugak (다시마부각), the kelp is coated in a glutinous rice paste before frying. I’ve never tried it, but it kinda reminds me of making cinnamon crispas.
