"Correct" is EXTREMELY subjective, especially with regard to anthro faces. I think the only reason that you catch shit is because you CHANGED your style to make the animal features more superficial.

#2 or 9 would be closer to your current style, but I dig #8.

I read the comments on your posting of that comic frame. Everyone seemed to have an opinion to share. Draw what you want dude. I like 8 and 10 the best.

I like how cute 4 looks. But I would have to say that 10 looks much better overall with its art style.

4, 6(Very cute but doesn’t match your style), 7, 11(Nalor!).

I'd accept 10, it does seem to be a compromise.

While we're picking I think 10 suits the rest of your style. Some of the others are really cute but wouldn't fit the way you draw bodies.

I'm jealous of the way you can just draw so many styles though.

The best way is the one that works for you.
There is no "Correct" way.. but you know that.

Hum I'd say 4 then 5, then 9 as the faces I like.

If I had to choose one of these, it would be #2. I loved Shayla as I found her, but I like your present style just as much. As far as correct...well...its your character man. When you are happy, you have drawn her correctly.

7 and 10 are my two favorites, but 11 has an adorable cuteness factor that I can't ignore.

7/11 maybe.

8 and 10 seem to have more of the 'attitude' that Shayla has. I like 4 but I think it is a little too 'innocent' looking for her.

2, 3, 9 and 10 are my favourites out of these. 8 Makes me think of her like a weasel, but that might be just me. That said, you are the master of what style you want to use. Both Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse changed styles considerably in the first ten years of their existence. (Not to mention their characters)

Whatever style you like, is the style it'll be :P

6 and 8 are good, 11 is fine if you want to go really cartoony, while 4 looks like i'd be a younger version of 6

2, 9, and 10 still feel like Shayla... The rest look like someone else...

2 looks almost the same as current.

rest look like they could be extra characters to your established work.

Go with what you love. And although I DO like #10 the most, I like your current style cause that's how I picture Shay and friends.

I'd say #4 and that whole row is a bit too cartoonish.

If it were me I'd go for more realistic mouse muzzles.

4 is definitely very cute! Then again, I'm a sucker for the anime look.
10 might not be too bad either and the number 9 seems to be closest to your current style.
I kind of agree with aster0th up there where I liked her look for years past. Probably a little mix of nostaglia and kind of stuck in my head.

I still love The characters no matter what way they are drawn! Just because we all have a possible different interest in how we might want characters to be drawn, we're still going to enjoy and appreciate every drawing! So as long as you're happy, then so are we!

4, 6, and 7. Like some of the others here, I gravitate towards a "cartoony" or "anime" look in anthropomorphic art. For me personally, a furry character with human-like facial features just makes the character seem not as furry -- despite the character having a muzzle, animal ears, a tail, etc.! The cartoon-ish look is that element that brings it all together, and makes my brain say "that's a furry character".

I have a feeling that others in the fandom feel the opposite way. :) Like others have said... it's SO subjective! But I suppose that's one of the thing that makes this community so interesting -- very different preferences in just about every aspect of what's considered inclusive in the fandom.

I like the eyes in 8 and the muzzle/face generally in 8 though the eyes look too far apart and muzzle is a bit too short imo, but remember it's all perspective/opinion so what someone else thinks doesn't really matter. :D

First off I have to say you do amazing work no matter what! But for my two cents numbers 4 and 8 I like the best! However..that is just my opinion...you should draw them the way YOU want to draw them :) How you see the characters in your own head. So long as you are happy with the drawing, that is all that counts right? :: hops off little soapbox ::

I say Ten, but I also say...if you are happy with the style then keep it, though I must say I liked the old Shayla too from the comic. The new one is good too :) Oh and Jack is awesome too!
