Well not really, Stan Winston did the make-up and special FX on all three (and written pumpkinhead) so I guess in that sense they kinda are. As far as story, not at all. But I do like making fun of the fact that Pumpkin head looks so similar to the aliens XD (whether intentional or not) and also the fact that it's one of those movies you love but hate at the same time XP
