The short answer is nope, but there's no going back.
Double the mutts, double the coffee table stains.
Meet V2 of the ever thirsty DB.
I have been so lucky with makers, and
gets straight A's.
Did I really need a V2? I did not.
V1 is holding up very well, thank you, despite hundreds of hours
of hard use. I have no plans of retiring the old mutt, and he
will be on the scene for many years to come. Sorry about the spilled
beer on your carpet.
I began to wonder what would've transpired if someone else
had made this suit to start with, and the question ate at me like
a mutt consuming Del Taco french fries.
I had to know!
Plus, V1 needed a vacation, and I promised him two weeks in Cancun
if he'd be nice to his new brother.
So one day I'm surfing around FA and I see this amazing fursuit
(it was a sand cat. Yes, a cat...) from Panda.
I knew in a heartbeat that she was the one to bring DBV2 to life.
She agreed to build-a-mutt, and I have to say that she has been
nothing but a pleasure.
V2 is built and geared more to the things that I do outside of the
furry fandom. and he fits the bill perfectly.
I had the distinct pleasure of trying him out at FC this past week, and
I want to thank everyone who took the time to stop me and ask
what the hell had happened to my face.
For some reason, I thought I'd be able to slink around the con
without being recognized as that annoying mutt, but furries
have a keen eye and no one was fooled for a second.
The reception was uniformly positive, so much so that
I often felt quite overwhelmed.
I was taken back to my first FC, when a ton of folks that I
didn't know took the time to chat with me and compliment my
suit. It was an emotional experience in many ways.
The public at large was also very kind to the new dog, and I am
pleased as a pigeon flying over a new car lot to report that
there was random hugging, dancing and picture taking.
And yes, I was even forced to hold a baby or two.
I can never hope to recapture the magic that the original suit
brought me, but I hope to reinterpret and reinvent some of those
great feelings and experiences.
Many folks have multiple fursonas and characters, with complicated
markings and back stories. I couldn't think of anything else that I
could hope to be but the same old beer guzzling mutt, and I pray
that you'll bear with me whilst I continue to confuse the humans
and myself.
And yes, V1 is above V2 to maintain order in the pack.

Hi Rodg,
I am releaved that you commissioned the version 2 costume. I was concerned that someone was looking to ride your coat-tails by building a twin costume as yours, such as Radjin's wanna-be.
Best wishes to the use of version 2. I am grateful there is still plenty of life in the original and best.
Cheers,
---> Wally

Hey, another DB for twice the fun!
I've wanted to get a V2 of my Wuffle suit. Not that it too hasn't held up really well because it HAS (Artslave is just good like that)
I just want an improved look and more seamless feel. I want to be friendly looking. I may just give those guys you mentioned a try, they did wonders and keep your original head's style, yet also updating it too...
Actually, you appear to have gotten younger! :D

Twice the fun, twice the mess.
Everything has a price, I guess...
I appreciate your comment more than you know, because as a senior
mutt that getting younger thing is very, very good...
I would strongly urge you to consider Panda if you want to commission
a Wuffle V2, and I would love to see another iteration.
The Artslave version is amazing, and I'm glad he's serving you well.
Certainly one of my favorite suits ever!

I apologize for V2's behavior. He has promised to repay you for the pilfered beer
and he has gotten himself a paper route to earn some cash.
Of course, he slept through his first day on the job, so you may not see any green for a while.
Your work is beautiful and I am happy in every way. Thank you so much.

Short answer is yes. We do need many more Dogbombs in the world. :)
I'd love to take one home and keep him myself. ;)
They did a wonderful job on v2 as well. You have an awesome fursona/character and you present him well.
And besides.. Who cares about a couple o coffee or beer stains. I retired my coffee tables long ago. * giggles *. With mastiffs and Danes they were cleared off within minutes anyway. :)

Nice! I also have a V2 of Apo in the works from Tweeko who did my first suit. Like you I also won't be retiring Apo 1.0 because there's really nothing wrong with him even after hundreds of hours of use.
Also, I wouldn't consider the things you do solo fursuiting at the board walk and such as falling "outside the fandom." If anything it's bringing the fandom to the general public in a positive light. Thank you for all you do in that regard.

you want some fresh and innovative fun? you should totally try a mini vacation up in kansas for CPFM or CPFC, the furs for these events aren't in the ginormous crowds yet. come for the fun, if this sounds like a pitch, its cause I am totally convincing you to go there. :D
How could you forget? THIS is dogbomb v1! Http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3351903/
