So the weather was nice enough to try something completely crazy! I threw on Space and took a little ride on my new bike. Went around the block first just to test out the vision and controls, wow what a rush!
Had to sew some elastic extensions on my spare set of snowboarding goggles for protection. The amber lens worked pretty good but cut some of my vision due to the goggles being further from my face. But darn if it didn't look awesome!
Once I was comfortable enough to drive some distance, I took a ride into town to see what the reaction would be. I can imagine the looks I got will turn into FB or Twitter posts about some random "wolf" riding a motorcycle through town.
I started getting a little nervous downtown but not because of traffic. I'd completely forgot about what the Cops might think. Hmm... well, just off of main street one was parked watching traffic and I happened by- waved and pulled into a parking lot just behind him. He gave me a look of W-T-F but didn't come after me. Whew!
And for anyone wanting to try this in a costume/fursuit- a little advice. Know your limits! Wearing this was a huge handicap from operating controls to impeded vision. If you aren't absolutely comfortable on a bike before, don't even try this. Take it slow in a no traffic area until you are confident you can see/operate safely and defensively with all that gear and fur on! Happy riding!

Hey fella! Job has brought me to Arkansas so i'll be here until... well, I get sent somewhere else. I know I'll be here for like 4 or 5 years so won't be back up to AK for while- sorry. I plan on doing a few more things with Space while I'm down here so keep an eye out for more!
