Day 2 of our Winter Wonderland.
During the day, a sneaky Eurasian Jay was nomming on the peanuts in our garden. (couldn't make a proper picture with his head in it because he flew away after I accidentally flashed >:)
Aaand I just took the bottom picture in my Hello Kitty pyjamas again xD I like how the light reflects on the snow. <:
Lets hope I can't go to school tomorrow |D

beautiful... *__*
I just googled that bird, have never seen one before... but then they aren't found in iceland! I love feeding birds, we get a lot of them here... starlings, common blackbirds, redwings, snow buntings, common redpolls, bohemian waxwings... I love watching them. :) do you get some variety of birds in your garden?

Oh wow cool!! We have starlings and common blackbirds as well, but those other ones you mentioned we don't have! They look adorable! :D
I love watching birds as well and I used to collect bird books as a kid, and featheers too! :3
Lemme find you some birds that we frequently have in our garden here, besides the Eurasian jay (very common here)
Magpie
Hawfinch
Long-tailed_Tit (cutest ever)
Great Tit
Blue Tit (lots of tits lol :3)
Eurasian Wren (smallest bird we have here)
Sparrow
Common Chaffinch
Common Wood Pigeon
Hmm there are probably some more, but these are mostly here :3 and crows and gulls xD

ffff so many birdies *____* of the ones you listed, only the eurasian wren can be found here... but only out in the country. of the others, I've seen magpies, blue tits, sparrows and wood pigeons on my travels in europe. :D loooove them!
bird books are the best, I collect them too... and feathers! I'd collect skulls/bones and stuffed birds too if I had a reliable source to get them...
we don't have crows here, but the common raven is.... VERY common here, hahah! and so are seagulls and various other seabirds. :3 today I was photographing some common/european shags, such silly looking birds!

ohh very nice that you went to Europe! :) haha I always thought wood pigeons were everywhere but I guess not xD They are such clumsy birds :'3
I have quite a few skulls, you might have seen a photo in my gallery. Been collecting animal parts since I was a little kid :) (including egg shells from all kinds of birds! some are s pretty :O) Most i've found in the woods or in the water. I've lived on a boat for 16 years so it was easy to find dead animals in the water..
And I'm jealous because we don't have raavennssssss D: ugh I love ravens!
Ohh we have those shags too! They have been a plague for a while too xD catching all the fish..but then again..we humans do too >->

we have regular old pigeons, but not that many anymore... they almost became extinct here about 50-60 years ago and just haven't multiplied since. :/ you're lucky to have had such easy access to skulls and such... I've indeed seen and commented on several of your photos! I love them. :D
I inherited several intact (but emptied with a needle sizes hole) eggs from my grandma last year... she has them as a small girl and she's over 80 now. :) she also gave me several bones, shells and feathers from her childhood... typical toys of children here, in particular out in the country, until around the time of ww2.
ravens are amazing... I have a stuffed one (reliable source, it was found dead) and I love him. *___* and I love watching them when they flock together and just play... it's an amazing sight!
aww, shags are a plaque there? XD I guess they are here too, but then so are most of the other seabirds... we have sooooo many here! and well, I'd rather let the birds eat fish than us humans... unless we can come up with more environmentally friendly ways for fishing.
