Well people have been asking around about me and if I have a form, so I've taken form of a Deceiver; they are a species in a vore game my girlfriend and I have had planned for a long long time, Deceivers aren't the main focus of the game but they're a cool concept, like a mix of a Mimic and a slime person only with more control.
Most of the important info is up there already.
While I can survive being digested in this form, I wouldn't widely show it off, that way predators wouldn't think to make sure about my core, I'd be out of them eventually and can regain some kind of shape to get away (I'd lose some mass inside which would also throw them off to me being alive and I'd be in a more slosh-y form by then).

Nicely detailed race you got here. Really makes one think, and think I have. One detail that has been something I really would like to know is their method of reproduction.
Do they just divide their core like a cell, or possibly use race's female to gestate a new core?
Might they even somehow assimilate or transform another being into a new deceiver? That would be a very interesting prospect and definitely quite the sight to see as well. Might even have me considering volunteering. I have a few ideas for how this might be accomplished as well which I will gladly share if anyone is curious.

Well I thought that basically their mass can have 3 flags that act differently towards other organic matter, you have passive where it doesn't react to anything, neutral, where it resists alterations/destructive things to it and volatile, where it actively resists anything and is corrosive to anything touching it (also how they digest).
The core also have their own frequencies that the mass reacts to, this way Deceivers can't steal each other's mass, if they do, they have rejection problems.
But if there's two that are in love, they can become passive and alter frequencies to accept the other and basically melt into each other, this can allow the core to interact and use a special technique between them to create a new core, made out of a lot of their mass that has been transformed and hardened permanently, the Core then grows slow on their mass, either one can carry it, (they can even swap it around) and when the core is developed enough it'll start producing it's own frequency then they can release it with enough mass to sustain itself and it will start living by itself. c:
I had an idea that there's some extremely bad Deceivers that are able to steal cores from Deceivers they have "killed" (more like deactivated) and absorb and convert the cores so it has multiple ones, perhaps breeding itself to make more cores and have them fully under it's control so it becomes extremely good at shape-shifting and very very difficult to kill.

That said, inter-species breeding has always been a bit of a point of curious interest for me. I have to wonder what the outcome might be if a deceiver and say... a human, being the general go-to example race in generally any scenario, where to find they love each other very much and attempt to have a child. I can only imagine a half-deceiver if biologically possible would be super adorable.
