Care to elaborate on the mid-tones? I don't understand what you mean because I don't work in water colors.

Just that the scanner picked up all of the darkest and lightest colors, but all of the subtler, in-between colors wouldn't scan properly.

I never did have the patience for watercolors, but, wow--your skill with them is just awesome. Despite the scanner messing with your midtones this looks wonderful!
