To be as spoiler free as possible for anyone who hasn't read it, I was lead to believe Joel really did it but blocked it out of his memory. Because his brother didn't do it so if it wasn't either of them it was somebody not even mentioned in the comic, so it's not like you have a tie to them anyway.
It's issue n° 353 and it's not Lorelei in that page but Miranda herself. The confusion is understandable as the two look very much similar to each other. Said snake thing is actually seen being implemented by Joel ( and presumably Miranda along the way) on issue n° 255. If you actually look closer, Miranda's hair is drastically longer than her mother's along with a difference in the eye color.
I enjoy Ballerina Mafia and just about everything else you do Immy, but as a science fiction reader that loves poking holes in time travel plans...why can't Joel go back in time and just thwart Artie's plan that involved his fur? Hehe, he should be capable of finding some way to swap out their fur so Artie ends up framing himself.
