After several months of hard work, I finally have a new fursuit! I present to you the second iteration of Kaynus L. Vulfe, now with a much more toony look and all the same goofiness as before! :P
I learned a lot from my second attempt at suit making, including that there is still much for me to learn, ha ha ha. It was a fun process and I'm already itching to build another one that is even better...just of a different character, heh. I'm hoping this iteration of Kaynus will last just as long (if not longer) than his predecessor, so expect to see him running around at local meetups, events, and the occasional convention. Woooo!

Ha ha ha ha ha, I didn't think about that when I positioned those two photos next to each other. :P Thank goodness I don't have 10 Kaynuses running around my home, though--there would be fur EVERYWHERE and all the craft beers would be gone before I could get to them! That would be a sad, sad day. :'(
Thank you very much! :D I'm excited that you are going to tackle building a suit of your own, and, as I said before, please feel free to ask me any questions and/or want to take a closer look at how I built any part of this suit. I would be happy to help out! :)

That is the exact mannequin head I have, and it works decently well. It's slightly different in shape than my own head (it's more tall and thin than my own), but it was close enough to where I was still able to work on it and didn't have to bolster it with any additional padding. There's also other colors of it if you don't want gray (and they might be cheaper?).
Another tactic I've heard of is getting the styrofoam heads and then bulking them up with foam to where it is an exact match to your own head's dimensions. I've heard that you can find those at places like Hobby Lobby.
