Sorry I had to resubmit since I edited the image a bit and tried to change the file but the image ended up being huge for some reason...
I haven't uploaded anything for so long because school was pretty busy XD I downloaded some new brushes today and couldn't help but try them out. I've always wanted to paint a wolf headshot so this turned up....
It was fun experimenting with fur and I've probably finally found a fur brush that I will be using full time :D It's so much faster and easier to use than the regular default round brush :D
I should probably rush back and finish my homework soon....
Edit: Made some minor adjustments to the head area

Thanks :D lol I was testing out some special brushes for texture. I think the brushes that created those 'chains' are actually supposed to be used for drawing hair, hence the braided look XD The background is a bit of empty though, so I guess a bit more of the texture could work out well!
It was actually a practice for shading fur and testing out the new brushes I had downloaded, so I never really thought of this piece as having any symbolic significance...I was kind of inspired to draw this because of all the awesome canine head shots and nice colour schemes I saw though!
