Don't have the tolls to froth milk for that special touch on your fancy tea or coffee, give this method a go from the kitchens of

I don't know about you but when I get a fancy tea latte I love to have the frothed (Soy) milk. It just looks fancy.
At home I could never achieve this until I realized I didn't need any fancy tools to do so.
I'm sure most people already know how to do this but if you don't this is the easy way to do so:
1. Heat milk on stove/in microwave (I use soy, you could use dairy)
2. Pour into a container with a locking lid*
3. Shake vigorously for a few seconds.
4. Pour into drink and enjoy.
Soy milk is rather strong so I add a bit of sweetener before shaking it.
Enjoy.
*I use Lock&Lock containers, great for storage and doesn't spill.
Second way to do it: Pour into a bowl and whisk like crazy, this takes more work though.

I have found that my FAVORITE way make quick milk foam at home is to use a french press. You can get decent quality foam with only 5-10 seconds of pumping the press.
Full steps:
1. Heat milk to steaming (but not boiling) any way you like.
2. Pour hot milk into french press. Fill to roughly 1/4 to 1/3 full. DO NOT OVERFILL.
3. Pump french press vigorously for 5-10 seconds. Be careful to avoid spilling foam out of the pour spout.
The end result, if done right, should be an inch or more of good foam and 1/2 to 1 inch of un-foamed milk at the bottom.
Depending on what you want to use the foam for, you can then either attempt to pour out the non-foamed milk, leaving just foam, or you can ladle out the foam, or pour both foam + milk together.
I use this foam primarily to make lattes, by mixing with strong coffee from a Moka pot. Kicks the shit out of Starbucks. :)
The only negative is that you have to clean up the french press afterwards. Pro tip - a little water, some dish some, and some more pumping does a pretty fast job!
