I'm not sure how we skipped explaining that, but blargh. Sorry for the vague dialogue.
Essentially when a female Drykmir becomes pregnant they start developing a unique hormone that quickens their metabolism and increases there muscle density. This way, by the time they lose their ability to fly around the second trimester, they have the physical strength to subdue threats to the nest with hand to hand combat.

Well, I have read that the artist of the comic has/had been having economic issues, to the point of being left homeless. So I don't know for how long will this comic hang on to dear life until it either dies off or the artist gets hold of better economic status to focus better on it.
Robertge.
I guess donating is a good idea for those who can and want to see this comic stay alive.
Also I don't know if this is still the case. The proyect looks underfunded yes, but I should note that this information comes from research I did and not from the occurence of the event in particular. I came upon a Journal describimg the problem which may be a few months old. A years top, but I assume the problem still stands given that the comic itself is still in such a precarious state.
