These are form-fitting footpaws, that will be cast in silicone to resemble the texture and feel of real skin. They can be hair punched, but the goal here is photorealism. The pinkie + ring toe will be together in one toe. THE BOTTOMS STILL NEED WORK- I just wanted to throw some pads on to work on how the elevation will work, I will probably have to add some along the arch for support. I also want to make the toe-pads look more in line with the conformation of real dog pads.
I am not sure how I feel about the duclaw, BUT it will look fucking awesome if you're walking on your tiptoes like a werewolf.
Things I want out of this project:
1) A realistic set of feetpaws that the wearer can wiggle their toes and flex their feet in naturally
2) Easy to clean and maintain
3) Custom fitted for every user
4) Will look great walking plantigrade or on your toes
The claws are just placeholders for looks right now, but the claws will be cast in a heavy duty transleucent plastic to look like real claws.

Awesome. And they don't look enormous like most foot paws.
Make 'em out of dragonskin silicone. Extra durability. (if that proves way to expensive, maybe cast the pads in dragonskin only)
A suggestion for the heel/arch pad, maybe take some inspiration from the pads bears have. The goal would probably be to have as little of the foot without support.

Paw fans are rejoicing everywhere! =)
Would a larger model be required for those of us with bigger feet, such as size 13 US? Or are these going to be -really- stretchy without risks of breaking and/or being uncomfortable?
I will certainly be looking forward to the completion of this project!

Dayyum, I'd rock those! I wear Vibram Five-fingers everywhere and these seem like they'd be little different. >^__^< I'm glad there's so much interest in these, too! I'm making a set of "wiggle-toes" out of a pair of toe-socks with foam and rubber glued on, but I bet these would be a fuckton cooler. Yummy!
They're silicone, so nothing is going to seep into them, its a matter of running them under a faucet. The only way to ventilate them would be to punch holes in them, which will destroy the structural integrity of the silicone, depreciating their lifespan by about half, probably more.
Sadly the mould I made was filled with the expanding foam-rubber I wanted to use, and the distributer didnt tell me they changed the forumula, so it bonded to the mould and basically made it a chunk of trash :/
I'm getting back to these once I have free time, because its something I really want to make.
