I'm certainly no expert on this so take it with a grain of salt. But it doesn't really look like the shelf is about the topple. The effect given on the objects is clever but the shelf is too static. I'd suggest tilting the shelf a tad, make it seem crooked and being pulled down. Another option is to just add lines around it to make it look like it's shaking, these aren't greatly done but since I don't know the names for those lines I'll have to give this as example haha: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12589773/

D'aaaaw. That is so adorable .. despite the obvious danger he is in.
But you managed to capture the scene really perfectly. The happy look on my little guys face, not realizing the danger yet, the panicked look on Sammy's face, the dynamic of the scene.
It's absolutly great! Love it!
